Chapa de oposição na Câmara Municipal de Serra de São Bento/RN, vence as eleições, e ainda justiça defere 10 vezes a favor dos vereadores.

José Sérgio do Carmo Dias, será o novo presidente da casa, pelos próximos anos, justamente com João Batista Pontes (vice presidente), Vereadora Dora (1° Secretária) e Cimar Crisanto (2° Secretária). Segundo a vereadora, e hoje, também 2° secretária da câmara, Cimar Crisanto “nossa vitória é a maior prova de que estamos no caminho certo, diante a todos os tipos de artimanhas, Deus nos colocou em vitória em todas, absolutamente todas juridicamente e democraticamente.”

Após votação, a CHAPA 1, vencedora das eleições na Câmara pelos próximos dois anos, saiu em carreata e ovacionada pelos moradores de Serra de São Bento. Uma derrota para atual gestão, que apoiou a Chapa da situação, a CHAPA 2, derrotada por 5 a 4.
