A Inframerica informa que um incêndio atingiu uma das torres de refrigeração de água do Aeroporto de Natal, em São Gonçalo do Amarante/RN, às 8h deste sábado (28). As chamas foram prontamente contidas pelos bombeiros civis do aeródromo. Às 8h20, o fogo foi totalmente controlado. Ninguém ficou ferido.

O sistema contra-incêndio do Terminal foi acionado preventivamente, mas não houve necessidade de evacuação do Aeroporto.

O fogo não afetou as operações aéreas do aeroporto, pousos e decolagens ocorrem normalmente. As causas do incidente ainda são investigadas.

As torres de refrigeração alimentam o sistema de ar condicionado do aeroporto.
